Terms of Use & Disclaimer
1. Who we are
DocketBuster and Studycase are products of rollingsentiment.io LLC ("we," "us"). They are educational software: a study cockpit for understanding and rehearsing court proceedings.
2. What this is, and is not
- Education and training only. The product explains proceedings, plays practice hearings, and coaches moot-court and mock-trial rehearsal.
- Not legal advice. No output, transcript, card, citation, coaching line, or prep sheet is legal advice, and none of it creates an attorney-client relationship with us or anyone else.
- Not representation. The software does not represent you and is not for use as live assistance during a real proceeding.
- Not for prohibited settings. Not for graded exams or assessments where outside aid is prohibited by your institution or bar authority.
- Verify everything. AI-generated analysis can be wrong. Every authority is drawn from a corpus of real sources, but you are responsible for independently verifying anything you rely on.
3. No responsibility for outcomes
You are responsible for your own case, your own filings, your own words in the courtroom, and your own decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, rollingsentiment.io LLC and its members, officers, and contractors are not liable for any outcome of any proceeding, or for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
4. Your account and credits
Credits are prepaid and spend on metered product actions at the prices shown before purchase. Paid credits do not expire. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Chargebacks suspend the associated credits and API keys while resolved. Keep your API keys secret. Anyone holding a key can spend your credits until you revoke it.
5. Acceptable use
Practice against material you lawfully have access to and are permitted to use (your own moot round, a class exercise, a public recording). Follow your institution's rules. Using the product where outside aid is prohibited violates these Terms. No scraping, reselling, or automated abuse of the service.
6. Privacy and ephemeral sessions
The meter records what you used, never what was said. On the private inference tier, session content is processed on our own infrastructure and discarded at session end.
7. Changes, governing law, contact
We may update these Terms; material changes bump the version above and the product asks you to accept again. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Questions about these Terms go to rollingsentiment.io LLC, the operator named above.
